This office is comprised of a set of services and programs dedicated to assisting all students in the exploration of the life of the mind outside the classroom. These departments are staffed by knowledgeable and caring professionals who focus on supporting your academic success, while providing you with opportunities for personal growth and leadership development in areas such as artistic expression, community service, spiritual exploration, athletic competition and more.
In collaboration with students, faculty, and staff across the University, our work is guided by principles of student self-governance, exposure to the most diverse possible universe of people and ideas, and the provision of resources that promote your physical and emotional well-being. We are committed to providing accessible and professional services and safe and supportive living and learning environments that work to strengthen student community-building at all levels. We seek to encourage the development of problem-solving skills within a context of civil and collegial interdependence. To this end, we are available to assist in crisis management and to advocate for students where appropriate. We want our students to feel part of a community that values them as individuals, supports them as scholars, and prepares them for life outside of the institution.
